Fun Dyno Day registers 500 TRUE horsefunpower

We head out from the rest area at 7:15. 1 hour and one quick 150 MPH burst we arrive at the shop. Carmen greet us with open arms and boxes of donuts and cake. Coffee, lots of it, is served. Other drivers arrive and then Dennis and John arrive. The dyno is ready to go.

Aaron is first with his 79 Stingray. I love the smell of Corvette exhaust in the morning. Aaron pulls 289 RWHP and 305 RWTQ in his 12 second C3. Nice. Off comes Aaron on comes the next car, the next car, the next car. These guys are flying. They have to be. The place was jammed with Vettes waiting to be dynoed. Pull after pull the roar of wide open throttle burst on our Vettes put smiles on owners faces as the are given there results. Cameras flashing, videos running and yes more coffee. 2 pulls for everybody, except Cliff who has wires thicker than Cuban cigars and they cannot get a good read on his car. After 7 pulls, we get a decent number and they get his 99 C5 off the dyno for the next car. Around noon we break for lunch. Pizza for everybody. Except Joey who slow to get in for Pizza and the starving Vette owners scarfed down all the pizza. Sorry Joe, we'll get you first next time.

When it was all said and done, 26 cars were dynoed. 23 Vettes, 1 Vette owners' Viper, 1 Camaro and a Mustang (needed a point of reference LOL). We all got a baseline or confirmation that our cars are or are not doing what they are supposed to. All in the name of getting ready for the start of the season for the first race to be held April 6th, 2002. If you missed this, sorry, you missed a great time. Now without further delay here are the numbers
